Water main break behind N.J. high school delays classes, closes roads

Classes started late Friday for students in Warren Township because of a water main break that occurred behind a local school, officials said.
The break occurred near the back entrance of Watchung Hills Regional High School, in the area of Mountain Avenue and Regional Drive, police said.
Classes were delayed by two hours for Watchung Hills and Green Brook public school students due to the emergency, officials said.
As of 9:30 a.m., Mountain Avenue remains closed, police said.
Authorities did not disclose the cause of the water main break or estimate how long repairs would take.
